How do I connect my Switch to my LIFX App? (Android)

  1. Open the LIFX App
  2. Click the  '+'  icon in the top right of the screen 
  3. Tap ‘New Device’ and then ‘New Switch’ 
  4. Find your Switch 
  5. Select your Wi-Fi and enter the password (please note, LIFX only supports 2.4Ghz networks, not 5Ghz)
  6. Enter your Wi-Fi password
  7. Wait until your switch is connected
  8. Choose a location for your Switch 
  9. Choose a group for your Switch 
  10. Name your Switch (Hint: If you’re installing more than one Switch, make it recognizable to the room) 

All set! Now you can move on to configure your buttons.

 

How do I connect my Switch to my LIFX App? IOS + HomeKit

  1. Open the LIFX App
  2. Click the "+"  icon in the top right of the screen
  3. Tap 'NEW DEVICE 'followed by 'NEW SWITCH'
  4. Tap the Green Arrow
  5. Choose your Switch (if your device doesn't show up, try the 'LIFX Only' onboarding path below), then tap the 'Green Arrow'
  6. Select your Home to work with Apple Home
  7. Wait for the HomeKit pairing screen, scan your HomeKit code or enter it manually
  8. Choose a location for your Switch (for example, Home)
  9. Choose a group for your Switch (for example, Bedroom)
  10. Name your Switch (approx. 10 characters) (Hint: If you’re installing more than one Switch, make it recognizable to the room)

All set! Now you can move on to configure your buttons.

 

LIFX (Only) Setup On iOS

Connect your Switch and allow it to sit for 15 minutes. This will allow your LIFX device to leave ‘HomeKit mode’ and be set up alternately. Then;

  1. Go to your device's Wi-Fi setting. Before the 15 minutes are up, your LIFX product will be in the ‘Set Up New Device Section' but will move to the ‘My Networks’ section, where you can add it without HomeKit.
  2. Select your light under ‘My Networks’, then navigate back to the LIFX App (wait while your device connects to the Switch).
  3. Your Switch will show up in your dashboard in the “Almost Done” section
  4. Tap your Switch.
  5. Tap the ‘Green Button’ with the label “Get Started.”
  6. Tap the Green Arrow.
  7. Select your Wi-Fi network, then tap the ‘Green Button’ in the bottom right-hand corner
  8. Enter your Wi-Fi password
  9. Wait until your Switch is connected
  10. Create/choose a location for your Switch
  11. Create/choose a group for your Switch
  12. Name your Switch (approx. 10 characters) (Hint: If you’re installing more than one Switch, make it recognizable to the room)

All set! Now you can move on to configure your buttons.
