What is bias lighting?
Reduce eye strain from screens with Bias Lighting.
Using a strong backlight in a specific shade of white behind a screen can help reduce eye strain. If you are watching lots of content for work, using a large monitor in your desk set-up, or just binge-watching something on the weekend, this setting will help relieve your eyes in longer sessions of screen time. It also helps show the richness of colours and is often used by people in professional production to more accurately see the tones for colour grading. It creates a richer and lower-strain viewing experience for focused screen time.
How do I do this?
It's easy. We've already pre-built a Theme you can apply to your light in our app.
- Tap on the Group card on your dashboard that contains your LIFX Lightstrip.
- Now tap on the name of your LIFX Lightstrip light.
- Select the 'Themes' mode at the bottom for your controls.
- Scroll down to find the white 'Bias Lighting' theme icon and tap on it to select.
