Overview
If your light goes through a normal red, green, and blue sequence during a reset and then settles on a single white, pink, or slightly purple-tinted colour, it may be in a diagnostic state called Factory Test Mode.
This state is uncommon and typically occurs unintentionally. The reset sequence completes as expected, but instead of landing on a standard white preset, the light remains on a mixed RGB output that can appear off-white or faintly pink or purple. The key indicator is that the light stops changing colours and stays on one colour.
If this happens, a standard 5× on/off factory reset will exit this mode and return the light to normal behaviour. If the light continues cycling through red, green, and blue without ever settling, this is not Factory Test Mode and is covered in our Light flashing red, green, and blue article. If the light always shows a dim green or blue tint during normal use and does not return to neutral white after a reset, this is also not Factory Test Mode.
* If you’ve followed the steps above and the light still isn’t behaving as expected, our Support team can help take a closer look. When contacting support, let us know what the light is doing after a reset and whether it settles on a single colour or continues cycling.
This helps us quickly understand what’s happening and guide you to the right next step.
