The “It’s Offline” message in the LIFX app means the app is unable to connect to your LIFX light. This can be caused by various issues. To resolve the problem, follow these steps in order:
1. Power Cycle the Light
- Turn the light off at the wall switch, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
- Wait two minutes for the light to reconnect.
- Then try controlling the light via the LIFX app again.
2. Check Your Wi-Fi Connection
- Make sure your Wi-Fi network is active and has internet access.
- Confirm that your light is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
3. Restart Your Router
- Power off your router, wait 30 seconds, then power it back on.
- Once the router is fully restarted, try controlling your light via the app.
4. Reset the Light

Turn the light off and on five times, waiting 2 seconds between each toggle. The light will flash colors to indicate a successful reset.

Follow the onboarding flow in the LIFX App and reconnect.

Open the LIFX app and try controlling your light.
