LIFX Beam is a unique lighting experience that allows you to create a lighting feature on your wall.

Connect your beams together, and then plug in the controller to mains power. You can follow the setup process at https://lifx.typeform.com/to/fQ9I3W for the most up to date setup process.

When you add beams to your setup, you will need to do a zone count, to make sure the controller is aware of how many beams are connected.

Connecting Beam to the LIFX Controller

LIFX Beam use a magnetic multi-pin connector. The beams will only connect to the controller one way. If your beam seems to be resisting connecting to the controller, flip the beam, and connect the other side to the controller.

Adding more beams: (Max 8 beams, and two corners per controller)

NOTE: You CANNOT use a Corner as the first connection with the beam controller.

  1. Unplug the strip power adapter from mains power.
  2. While unplugged, add your beam sections.
  3. After adding beams, plug the power adapter back into mains power.
  4. Press the button on the LIFX beam controller, for 1 second. The strip will flash, and 'chase' from the connector, down to the end of the strips.
  5. All the beams will light up, and you can control the whole beam.

Resetting LIFX Beam:

Resetting LIFX Beam is a little different from the other LIFX models.

Find the reset button on the strip controller. It is on the side of the controller box. Hold it down for 10-15 seconds, and then release. The strip should then flash red, green, blue, and settle on white, like Color LIFX bulbs do, when reset.

The strip is now restored to original settings, and should broadcast it's LIFX SSID to be setup to a new network.
