When a light flashes red, green, blue, white and then purple, the light is in Factory Test Mode

LIFX Gen 3

To exit Factory test mode:

  1. Ensure that the bulb is on at the switch
  2. power cycle the bulb 5 times to reset (off, on, off, on, off, on, off, on, off, on)
  3. The bulb should then cycle through the colors Red, Green, Blue, White, off, then White

Your LIFX should now show as a network and be ready to be setup again.

LIFX Z strips:

Follow the power cycle process for the Color 1000 below. With the LIFX Z strip, you will want to be unplugging the Strip cable, from the power adapter, for each power cycle.
